Is it true if a pregnant woman eats a lot of a particular food during pregnancy the baby in question will?
have a particular liking for that food?
For example if a mother eats a lot of raspberries her baby will end up really liking raspberries too.
In my instance, both of my children have continued to eat the same foods that I craved and ate a lot of while I was pregnant, however I am sure others have experienced the complete opposite.
Both of my pregnancies were quite different, with a particular fondness for bananas, potatoes and vegetables when I was pregnant with my son, and cravings for spicy foods such as “REALLY” hot chili and the spiciest kinds of foods you could possibly imagine with my daughter.
My daughter is still young, but has incredibly “exotic” taste buds opting for curries, sushi, thai etc before choosing something like McDonald’s. My son on the other hand, still eats bananas every single day and I have never had any problems with him not eating his veggies ( including the dreaded “greens” which so many kids refuse to eat
)
Having said that, I’m sure that it varies from each mother and child…but for me, my taste buds at the time of pregnancy have definitely been passed on to both of my children.
…Also, with links proven to show that when a child is exposed to alcohol while in the fetus,”many, but not all” will often suffer from alcoholism later on in their life, it kind of seems logical to me, that a child can easily carry on and maintain the same preferences for tastes and flavours in which the mother has….but again, those are just my thoughts.
